What is in a name

Specialist Web Sites changed its name to Web85 early in 2006.

Why?

Well SpecialistWebSites is a bit of a mouthful, rather long to type and not very descriptive of the services we offer. We offer a professional, affordable web site design and hosting service, providing a personal service to small businesses. We do offer specialist web site development services, but it is not our main focus.

Why Web85?

We tried to think of meaningful company names that reflex the services we provide while keeping it associated with web site design. We also wanted the name to be short, snappy and easy(ish) to remember. Although we came up with a large number of names we found that they were already taken. Eventually we ended up as Web85. Web for web design (obviously) and 85 as the house number of Neil. So a simple, short name. Not very inventive and not ideal but ...
